Counselors of Real Estate (CRE)

Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) are trusted advisors finding solutions to complex real estate challenges. Experienced, innovative, and credentialed problem solvers, Counselors practice in 21 countries and offer expertise in more than 60 real estate disciplines across all asset classes. Each has earned the prestigious CRE designation. The CRE designation is awarded to individuals who are invited by their peers for membership and win acceptance by fulfilling entry requirements of the organization, including a minimum of 10 years in the industry. In addition to experience, CRE candidates must demonstrate ethical behavior and track records, expertise in one or more commercial real estate discipline, and influence and prominence in the business of commercial real estate services.



Boyd Commercial is proudly associated with The Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS (SIOR). All of the firm’s principals have earned the SIOR designation, which recognized commercial real estate professionals who meet rigorous requirements and criteria in order to receive the designation that include:

  • Personal integrity and a commitment to operate according to the society’s strict code of ethics to which they are legally bound
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in commercial real estate
  • Pass a written exam and successfully complete specific society educational courses
  • Reach a minimum of sales and leasing transaction annually

Only 2 percent of all commercial real estate professionals have earned the SIOR designation.



Boyd Commercial is proudly associated with CCIM, or Certified Commercial Investment Member. For more than 50 years, CCIMs have been recognized as leading experts in commercial investment real estate. The CCIM lapel pin denoted that the wearer has completed advanced coursework in financial and market analysis, and demonstrated extensive experience in the commercial real estate industry.
