Cameron buys Westway Park site

Cameron is expanding its campus at Westway Park with the acquisition of the former BJ Services headquarters building.

The 86,000‐square‐foot building was purchased from Baker Hughes, which acquired the property through its merger with BJ Services. The property is adjacent to the 215,000‐square‐foot building at 4646 W. Sam Houston Parkway North, which houses Cameron’s drilling and production systems group.

Cameron provides flow equipment products, systems and services to the oil and gas process industries worldwide. Its headquarters remain at 1333 West Loop South.

Charles Gordon with CB Richard Ellis represented Cameron. Mike Boyd and Conrad Bernard with Boyd Commercial represented the seller.

Cameron also occupies the former Natco building in Westway Park containing 144,000 square feet, and has space in several buildings just north of the business complex. The company has a technology facility west of the Sam Houston Tollway.

Westway Park is a project of Wolff Cos. consisting of 19 buildings containing 2.2 million square feet. Among the other companies in the park are Travelers Insurance, CE Oil & Gas, Stewart Title, Invensys, Sprint and Seismic Exchange. The 150‐acre development is east of the Sam Houston Tollway at Clay Road.
